03/16/2025 - EcoClam Monthly Online Meeting

At our March meeting, EcoClam members gathered to organize and set deadlines for several major upcoming initiatives aimed at promoting environmental awareness and community involvement. A key focus of the meeting was on preparing for the possibility of participating in a World Environment Day event this June. Although participation is not yet confirmed, the team laid out clear timelines to ensure we are ready should the opportunity arise.
The writing department committed to completing the first draft of magazine content by April 13, with sections focusing on environmental issues, student perspectives, and action-based solutions. The design team set a deadline of March 30 to finalize product designs, such as eco-bags, which are planned for future fundraising efforts. These materials will help support both awareness campaigns and financial sustainability for our club’s initiatives.
Another key idea discussed was hosting a fundraising event near Jeju National University during the cherry blossom season. Members shared creative suggestions for booth activities and explored how to connect the event with broader environmental messaging. To help support outreach, the team also proposed developing official EcoClam social media accounts and refreshing the website to better engage the school community.
Members are divided into smaller project teams to explore different event possibilities. Each group will focus on the feasibility of their proposed activity, including logistics, preparation needs, budget, and environmental impact. The goal is for each team to return with a concrete plan for how EcoClam can most effectively promote sustainability through student-led action.
This meeting reflected our ongoing commitment to moving from discussion to implementation. Through careful planning and collaboration, we continue to seek new ways to engage our community and turn awareness into lasting environmental impact.
